We thought you might be interested to know about the upcoming Lorca’s Gypsy Balads at Kings Place. Instituto Cervantes London and Poet in the City present Lorca’s Gypsy Ballads; a celebration of the life and poetry of Federico Garcia Lorca, one of the most celebrated poets in the Spanish language.
This event marks the launch of the new official edition of the Gypsy Ballads translated by the acclaimed poet Jane Duran and Gloria Garcia Lorca, Lorca’s niece, and published in the UK by the Enitharmon Press. The event will feature both distinguished translators, together, with Laura Garcia Lorca, the director of the Lorca Foundation and another of the poet’s niece’s and Manuel Fernandez-Montesinos Garcia, his nephew, who will be sharing storing from the poet’s past.
