This special viewing and tour is led by Marta Enrile, Deputy Director of 19th Century European Paintings and Specialist in Spanish Art

Includes breakfast, the tour and time to browse the auction Sotheby’s are offering twenty-three Spanish paintings in their sale of 19th Century European Paintings which will be held in London on 18 May 2011. Artists featured in the sale include Mariano Fortuny, Joaquín Mir, Julio Romero de Torres, Santiago Rusiñol, Joaquín Sorolla and Ignacio Zuloaga. Mostly from private collections, one of the highlights is Fortuny’s Arab Before a Tapestry an exciting rediscovery, that was last exhibited in 1873.
